Are you around 55 years of age or older and interested in socializing and meeting other parishioners? If so, we welcome you to join our Senior Group. We sponsor many activities throughout the parish and encourage you to join us whenever you can. Listed below are our recurring events; however, we are constantly hosting new activities such as the Matter of Balance Class presented by the Health Department or a day trip to see a play! To join our email distribution list and get notifications of all our events, please send your contact information to [email protected].
Our next senior group meeting and potluck date is TBD.
Get some exercise and pray the Rosary while walking outside with fellow parishioners. The group meets every Thursday after the 8:00 a.m. Mass. If you are unable to walk the Rosary, join others in the church saying the Rosary during the same time. The entire group starts together after mass saying our intentions and the Apostles' Creed before splitting up to say the Rosary either walking outside or sitting inside in the church.
Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the PLC, room 16/18. You are welcome to come one month or every month! Every attendee gets the opportunity to recommend a book to read.
Upcoming dates:
Game day is the last Wednesday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the PLC, room 16/18. Come spend an afternoon playing games such as Euchre, Chicken Foot or Mexican Train Dominoes. Beginners welcome. It doesn't take long to learn these new games. Everyone who attends comments on how much fun they have at game day plus new friendships are forged every month. Coffee, water and lemonade are provided. Attendees are asked to bring a snack to share.
Upcoming dates:
Join us every Monday from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the PLC Commons for exercise with music. The class is taught by a parishioner and longtime line dance instructor who specializes in working with balance and memory issues for senior adults. Join every week or as often as you can.
